Katech Company ("Katech", "we") operates the Katech smart-building app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains the types of data we collect when you use the app, how we use, share, and protect it, and the rights you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following types of data:

• Account information: name, phone number, email, client type (individual or company), and company name and commercial registration where applicable.
• Project and request data: quotes, project details, maintenance requests, and the attachments and photos you upload.
• Transaction data: a record of your payments processed through the QIIB gateway. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Technical data: device type and operating system, device identifier, notification token, app language, and usage data needed to operate and improve the service.

We use your data only for the following purposes:

• Creating your account and verifying your identity.
• Providing the service and managing quotes, projects, and maintenance requests.
• Processing payments and issuing receipts.
• Sending notifications and updates related to your requests.
• Providing support and responding to your inquiries.
• Improving the performance and security of the app.

We process your data on one or more of the following bases: performance of our contract with you, your explicit consent, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, or compliance with a legal obligation.

In-app payments are processed through the QIIB payment gateway as an independent processor. Payment data is subject to the gateway provider's privacy policy; we do not access or retain your full card details.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following cases:

• With service providers acting on our behalf to run the app (such as the payment gateway, notification, and hosting services), and only to the extent necessary.
• Where there is a legal obligation or a lawful request from a competent authority.
• To protect our rights, the safety of our users, or to prevent fraud.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations. When no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. However, no electronic method can be guaranteed 100% secure.

The app is not directed to persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that we have collected a child's data without parental consent, we will delete it.

You have the right at any time to request:

• Access to, or a copy of, your personal data.
• Correction of any inaccurate data.
• Deletion of your data or restriction of its processing.
• Withdrawal of any prior consent, without retroactive effect.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app's Account section, or by emailing us at legal@katech.qa. We will process your request within a reasonable period, retaining only the minimum data required by law.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you via the app or by email, and your continued use of the app afterwards constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
